Griffins lose 67-0 to Cooks Hill 1s - Loss due to referee

By Master Griffin | 9 March 2016

In a startling upset, The Griffins go down in their first 2016 encounter to Cooks Hill 1 67-0 after a third minute shocking refereeing decision. Part time players are outraged.

The Griffins put in some competitive rugby until the third minute when the referee missed a certain knock on in a ruck. While the captain and 6 fellow team mates protested aggressively to the referree, the "man with the whistle" did not overturn the decision, claiming he was better placed to make the decision given his lack of bias.

"Oi did you know that f&$%*khead used to play for the Wanderers. Yeah but nah that's why he has it in for us ay." one part time Griffins player said after finishing his 4th game in 9 years.

The Griffins Gazette spoke with captain Nick Bookless after the game who gave his take on it. "As far as i'm concerned, if that one didn't go against us in the third minute, the next 10 tries just don't happen. Could've been close. Can't believed we were robbed of this one."

ICAC refuse to comment on the sternly worded letter written by the club, claiming it is outside their jurisdiction.
