Coach uses 3 syllable word, players smile and nod

6 March 2017

Last Thursday's training session was not without controversy when coach Rod Beath went out on a limb and used complicated words, it has been confirmed

The Griffin Gazette asked coach Beath about the incident and he had this to say "My vernacular was impertinent to the drill I was explaining. I was both elucidating and transparent to the playing group in my instruction."

Beath went on in the interview to describe how he felt when his beautifully crafted drill went to hell. "I just couldn't believe it when I asked the playing group to stand in a basic parallelogram and they formed the shape of isosceles triangle on the pitch. I don't even know what the fourth bloke there was doing still lined up."

One player described the incident as "[email protected]!?ed ay". The Raymond Terrace local had some theory on his failed interpretation of the drill.

"Oi oi oi I'm so [email protected]!?ed ay. I've been awake for like 72 hours ay. Oi remember the time I punched that bloke at the pub? Can I get a lift home bruz?"

While not to put down an otherwise successful session, local onlookers were mortified at what they saw of the drill. Merryl Wotherspoon viewed what seemed to be one player on the ground and another two nearby making grinding gestures while straddling each other for no reason.

"Those boys need Jesus, not rugby", cried Merryl, 72, who watched the whole debacle unfold while walking home from her Thursday evening prayer group. "Islington is really a town of sin"
