Breaking News: Vice President Mifsud forced to resign due to sex scandal

The Griffins Gazette have been informed from a credible source that vice president Nigel Mifsud has been forced to step down after allegedly impregnating long time Griffins supporter and 82 year old Mabel Harris from Third Street Mayfield.
Harris had confirmed to the Griffins Gazette that the two are in love, and she hasn't been more emotionally moved since the final episode of MASH aired locally on February 8, 1983.
President Trench held an emergency press conference at lunchtime today to reaffirm the clubs position that sexual relations amongst committee members is banned until further notice. The President said his Vice had made “a shocking error of judgment” and created a “world of woe” for the Griffins community.
Mifsud lashed out at Trench later this afternoon saying "Comments by the President today at his press conference … in many instances, they caused further harm. I believe they were in many instances inept and most definitely in many instances unnecessary," he said. Mifsud later resigned in his position as Vice President while President Trench was attending a work function in Ningen.
